Dave Woodward has been in the meat industry for 21 years and over this time has built up an excellent knowledge of both the retail and wholesale sectors of the trade, this has included 15 years serving the needs of various University Colleges, Pubs and Restaurants, etc., with many of these years at management level.
His career started in 1984, when he attended Oxford College to study for The Institute of Meat qualification which he went on to pass with Distinction.
Upon successful completion of his studies, Dave moved to the retail sector, working first in Abingdon, then the Covered Market, Oxford. Following this, a move to the wholesale side of the industry for a number of years before taking the decision to open his own shop.
Dave is a traditional butcher with traditional values, he sources only the finest meat produced, including English beef, pork and lamb. This is complimented by a wide range of poultry, game, cooked meats and home made products. All items, where requested, are prepared and packed to customer specifications
Delivery, is by a refrigerated van (the traditional horse and cart isn't quick enough), to the catering industry as well as offering a free home delivery service for local customers in and close to Oxford, the way it should be.
In addition, Woodlands are able to assist with such things as forward menu planning, up and coming promotions, a new menu, a wide range of chef prepared meals, the list could be endless, so please ask for more details.
